Parent conferences are of great importance in the system of educational work of the educational institution.

The basis is the attitude to the child as the highest value. The activities of the curator are aimed at increasing the readiness of parents to raise children, to make them aware of the importance of responsible parenting, to provide all adults, family members with psychological and pedagogical, physiological and hygienic, legal information, parents to develop appropriate practical skills.

The main activities of the curators and parents in the college are:

support for students’ physical health; communication and formation of personal orientations of students: interest in life, interest in people, interest in culture, which contribute to the understanding of universal values; cognitive sphere of students’ life (work with subject teachers) taking into account their individual features; work with the family – the impact on the educational potential of the family; the object of attention is not the family itself, but family upbringing.

The analysis of pedagogical practice in college shows that the best results are given by such organization of joint work of the curator and family which will form in young generation knowledge and feeling of a sort, understanding that thanks to it everyone comes to a bright image of the Motherland, to sincere and honest thoughts. about the meaning of human life. As a result of the joint activities of the curator and parents, the sphere of organized educational influence on young people is expanding.

It is known that the family is the main center where the formation of the student’s personality takes place. In the family, the personality is formed in natural conditions, the parents here are the closest and dearest people to the student. It is in the family that the worldview, ideological and moral beliefs, work skills, and value orientations originate.

Today, in conditions when most families are concerned with solving the problems of economic and sometimes physical survival, the social tendency of many parents to remove themselves from the issues of upbringing and personal development of the child has intensified. Parents sometimes carry out education blindly, intuitively, so a large role in the education of the student’s personality belong to the curator of the academic group

The curator when working with the group should use forms and methods of work with parents, which are aimed at improving the pedagogical culture of parents, to strengthen the interaction of school and family, to strengthen their educational potential, so a significant place in the system of work with parents is given to psychologists. -pedagogical education.

Traditional and non-traditional forms of interaction of the curator with the parents of students have one common goal – to make happy the student’s personality, which is part of modern cultural life. The most effective forms of psychological and pedagogical education of parents are: parental rings, parental training, conferences, parent meetings, visits to the student’s family, individual thematic consultations, workshops, etc.

Parental rings are one of the debatable forms of communication between parents and the formation of the parent team. The parental ring is prepared in the form of answers to questions on pedagogical problems. The questions are chosen by the parents themselves.

Parental training is an innovative form of work with parents who want to change their attitude to behavior and interaction with their own child, to make him more open and trusting. Both parents should participate in parent training. This increases the effectiveness of training, and the results are not long in coming. The training is conducted with a group of 12-15 people.

Parent trainings will be successful if all parents actively participate in them and attend them regularly. For the training to be effective, it should include 5-8 sessions. Parental training is usually conducted with the participation of a psychologist.

Parent conferences are of great importance in the system of educational work of the educational institution. Parent conferences discuss important issues in a period of significant changes in the socio-political and socio-economic life of the state. These changes require a rethinking of students’ views on the role of the curator and the family in this process.

Parents themselves are active participants in the conferences. They prepare an analysis of the problem from the standpoint of their own experience. A distinctive feature of the conference from other forms of work with parents is that it makes certain decisions and provides measures on this issue.

The leading form of work with parents is parent meetings. Parents’ meeting is a public body, which by its decisions determines the tasks, content, directions of work of the parent team, academic group and educational institution.

The main part of the parent meeting is aimed at forming the pedagogical culture of parents and should be expressed in any form: lecture, conversation, debate, discussion, pedagogical reading, etc. It is a permanent body that promotes the strengthening of ties between the family, educational institution and the public, the involvement of all participants in the active life of the student body, the organization of meaningful leisure of students, pedagogical education of parents.

Forms of pedagogical comprehensive education are:

collective forms: lectures, conferences, debates and discussions on the exchange of experience of family education, discussion of pedagogical literature, periodicals on family education, round tables, evenings of questions and answers, open days, film lectures and information stands; individual and group forms: consultations on problems of family upbringing, conversations, family visits, correspondence, individual days, meetings with parents and pedagogical assignments to parents; Forms: evenings of family traditions, decorative and applied art, family albums and collections, issue of thematic newspapers, competitions and open lessons.

Parents’ meeting is a form of analysis, comprehension on the basis of data of pedagogical science, experience of education. Parent meetings should be held at least twice a year, in order to discuss and plan the main issues of educational work of the group, identify ways of close cooperation between family and college, consideration of current pedagogical issues.

Parents’ meetings are an opportunity to demonstrate the student’s success. The meeting should not be about assessments, but about the quality of knowledge and the level of intellectual effort that corresponds to cognitive and moral motivation. In preparation for the meeting it is necessary to prepare exhibitions of creative works and achievements of students.

Recommendations for holding parent meetings: parent meetings should inform parents, not state the mistakes and failures of students; the subject of the meeting should take into account age, individual and psychological characteristics; the meeting must be both theoretical and practical.

Group forms of work also include meetings of the parent committee, work with groups of parents, and so on.

The parent committee of the academic group is elected at the parent meeting. It usually consists of 3-5 people. A parent committee is set up to democratize the management of the educational process, to establish family-educational feedback, to adjust management decisions, to ensure the unity of pedagogical requirements for students, to provide assistance to the family in raising and educating children.

The most active parents, authoritative people with high civic consciousness, who show interest in the affairs of the group and the college are involved in the work of the parent committee. The parents ‘committee is elected for the entire period of students’ study at the college.

Depending on the needs of the academic group, it varies: either in number or in the distribution of responsibilities. The curator of the academic group directs the activities of the parent committee to solve educational problems facing the student body. Members of the parent committee establish contact with public organizations, participate in the organization of students’ leisure (walks, excursions, trips to theaters and cinemas), help the curator to conduct pedagogical propaganda, etc.

It is advisable to start working with groups of curator’s parents by observing the learning and behavior of students and studying their families. The use of methods of questionnaires, surveys, study of documentation, observation will allow the teacher to obtain the necessary information and divide parents into groups (by family type, by mistakes of parents in family education, by students’ problems in learning, communicating with peers, etc.). Some parents may belong to several groups. Socio-pedagogical work of the curator with groups of parents promotes more active participation of parents in interaction with the educational institution.

Visiting the family is an individual work of the curator with parents, acquaintance with living conditions and use of positive experience of family education in practical activities. Getting acquainted with the living conditions of the student helps the teacher to understand his character, interests and inclinations, his attitude to parents, older and younger family members.

The tutor should pay attention to how the parents monitor the child’s daily routine, the family’s work responsibilities, the availability of a workplace for homework, a home library with educational and fiction literature.

Correction of educational activities of families with different types of family well-being should begin with a deep and meaningful study by the curator of the living conditions of the student, his life. It is important that the curator not only identify the root cause of the problem, but also its origins inherent in the personality of parents, identify the most significant mistakes in family upbringing and ways to eliminate them, outline possible applications of individual approach to members of such families.

When working with family teachers (especially curators of academic groups) it is important to follow the following rules:

parents and students should not feel like objects of study; work with parents should be purposeful, planned and systematic; the methods of this work should be interdependent with the methods of raising children; psychological and pedagogical methods must be diverse, used in combination; when studying the student’s family, the curator first of all pays attention to the following data: general information about parents, other family members, living conditions, material security; interest in the affairs of the educational institution; general information about the student (interests, level of education); educational opportunities of the family (level of pedagogical culture of parents).

Correspondence with parents is used by the curator to establish close contact with the student’s parents.
